A favorite of professional poker players, Texas Holdem is a community game gaining popularity. The rules are easy to learn but like any game- practicing is the only way to become a truly great player. Strategy is an important element of the game and good decision making is imperative not only for you but for your fellow players. The game consists of two cards dealt face down to each player and five community cards placed face up. After one round of betting, a series of three cards are dealt. Another round of betting ensues, followed by two additional cards. Players have the option to check, bet, raise or fold after each deal.
