Triton Event & Merit Poker Cash Game Festival in Cyprus on May 2023

27.04.2023

Triton Poker is coming to Northern Cyprus for the second time this year. The upcoming series will take place at the latest five-star hotel-casino Merit Royal Diamond from May 10th to 25th and will offer players 15 tournaments in no-limit hold'em, pot-limit Omaha, and short deck. The tournament buy-ins are familiar, with the cheapest opportunity to play available to a player upon depositing $20,000 in the cashier, the main event of the series will cost $100,000, and the festival's headliner will be the Luxon Pay Invitational tournament with a buy-in of $200,000.

The series' key tournaments:

May 10-11: GG Super MILLION$ LIVE - buy-in of $25,000. The offline version of the most prestigious weekly online tournament of the GGPoker network. The results of this tournament will be taken into account in the annual Super MILLION$ leaderboard, which is calculated based on the clean profit in all SM tournaments.

May 12-13: Mystery Bounty - buy-in of $30,000. For the first time, the format with "magic" bounties reached Triton Poker at the Vietnamese stage earlier this year, but then the contribution was $20,000 (top knockout was $250,000). Now the contribution has grown, which means that the bounties drawn from the chest will also increase.

May 20-21: Main Event - buy-in of $100,000. The most classic tournament of Triton Poker, in which all festival guests will undoubtedly want to play. The winner of the tournament will also become the champion of the entire series.

May 18-20: LUXON PAY INVITATIONAL - buy-in of $200,000. A unique event played exclusively on Triton Poker. Registration for this event is not available to all comers, and on the first day of the game, professional players and amateur businessmen will be artificially separated. The last such tournament was also held in Northern Cyprus last September, and the winner, Sam Grafton, received $5.5 million.

Tournament schedule:

LUXON PAY INVITATIONAL

The special system for holding the Luxon Pay Invitational tournament has remained unchanged since the last tournament in September 2022: a limited number of participants who are divided into two categories - "businessmen" and "professionals". "Pros" cannot just sit down at a table, each of them must first receive an invitation to play from a "businessman". A special commission decides which category of poker players belongs to which. Last time it consisted of Paul Phua, Rob Young, and Jason Koon.

On the first day of the tournament, the "professionals" will be artificially separated from the "businessmen" - each category of players will only play with each other. Everyone who survives after the starting day will advance to Day 2, where the seating will be normal - random and mixed. The list of Luxon Pay Invitational participants is not yet available.

• Bonus for players:

Those who deposit buy-ins for $300,000 for the entire series will receive free accommodation at the Merit Royal Diamond hotel as a compliment.
